I got up this morning and fed the dogs, got the child down to the couch, where we fell back to sleep and slept until around 8:30am. I am still really tired feeling, but it will pass once I’ve had enough caffene.

My son is having a tough day - very clingy and whiny. I am hoping it will pass, but it may not and I will just have to find a way to deal. So far I’ve blown up a few times, put him in time out once and given him some Motrin for the teething pain that I feel has something to do with his bad behavior.

My husband has to work today, and he is doing school work now. He came down for a moment to see how we were doing, and informed me that he had yet another rough night at work and was having a hard time processing it.

I am having some stomach pains and maybe that is becuase I just ate a large amount of the Focaccia bread that I just made and grease bothers my IBS-like issues. My stomach gets crampy and bloated. I really hate it because I love greasy food!

The dogs are looking miserable because today is the third day in a row that we have been below zero and they don’t want to be outside, while they also need to be outside a bit. They are bored stiff, but there isn’t much I can do for them. Our house is small right now, and they are two very large dogs for such a small place.

Today, I don’t plan on going out, but I may end up going to WalMart or the local market as we are almost out of milk and we are out of juice. I have two more WIC checks for this month and no money to spend. So, if I can get out I can at least get the milk and juice. I also could stop at the food pantry and see if they could help again, but I don’t know since I can’t remember the last time I was there. I hate to go more than once a month because they start to act like it is a huge issue, even though they only give enough food for 3 days (and for us most of the food can’t be used because of food allergies or sensitivites).

Thankfully our hot water pipes are now unfrozen and working just fine. I don’t know how we would cope without having hot showers and baths for another day.

I am thinking about joining a new group (or new to me) called the Holistic Moms Network. I went to a meeting in Medina, Ohio and found that I really learned a lot. I will have to pay a membership fee and I am not looking forward to that part as we don’t have money right now, but once I get it paid, I should be able to attend and learn some new things that I think will really benefit my family. I am excited about the prospect.
